about

This song talks about our addiction to social media and how we have come to use it as a form of escapism.

Unfortunately like any other drug that exists, excessive use may include unwanted side effects such as depression, anxiety.. The song comments on how many of us now struggle with these issues more than ever and have very low opinions of ourselves due to constantly over comparing our lives to others.

lyrics

I've been wasting away
Just another one lost in the noise again
She says I've been waiting for days
When the troubled time hits to avert my gaze

I am nothing waiting for something to happen
I get my kicks when I get online and then I count the clicks

One, ten, twenty four digital kids & dopamine whores
So vein and in pain what a wonderful fucking time to be alive

Yeah

When you focus on fame
You don't live in the moment you just play the game
Be careful what you obtain
When you get there you might find it's not the same

I am nothing waiting for something to happen
I get my kicks when I get online and then I count the clicks

One, ten, twenty four guess who's knocking at the front door
I've tried to survive it's death with an early ride to suicide

Self diagnosis a social media moses throws us commandments they're wrong and they know this
Most us don’t focus on fame we oppose this
Curb on the screen time come back to the lotus
