‘The Hole’ is a reaction to the loneliness the 2020 outbreak has inflicted on our worlds, with the song being written and recorded completely in isolation by the band.

It’s a reflection on society’s newfound
dependence on digital devices to maintain physical relationships, and a scathing look at the distortions that are happening to these interactions, by companies who have interest in manipulating the truth.

Above all, the song is an acknowledgment of the trappings of what the government calls ‘The New Normal’.
